social media for kids
Facebook, myspace, and other social networking sites are growing more popular by the minute. These sites allow teens, and adults to stay in contact with people in their lives as well as countless other things. But what about our children? Young children impressionable children are wanting to join in on the fun more and more. However these sites that are geared for teens, and adults may not be safe for kids. I have recently come across a website that lists 5 kid friendly social network sites. I will share :)
the wonderful world of Prezi
Today in my EDU 315 class I was introduced to the most wonderful website. It is an online presentation editor. This has got to be the best site I have seen since.. Facebook :) I am so sick of creating boring stuff presentations on Microsoft powerpoint. Every powerpoint I see is the same, and boring. This website allows endless possibilities of creating fun and exciting presentations!! Check it out.

Smart Board
After learning how to use the smart board and creating a smart board lesson, I was eager to use the smart board all of the time. In my practicum I noticed the teacher barley uses her smart board. I have also noticed in other classes that those teachers rarely use theirs either. I feel like some of these teacher should be required to take a technology class so they will understand the importance of incorporating technology into the classroom. The literally act like the smart board isn't there.
SHIFT happens....
Today in my social curriculum class we watched a video called shift happens. The video was made in 2006 and included different statistics and facts about technology today. Some of the numbers in the video were unreal. It is amazing to see how advanced we have become technlogically. I feel like this video, and my EDU 315 class have really shed light upon the importance of incorporating technology in the class room. I really enjoyed this video! Hope you will too :)
